Central Region Airport Development Program, Mexico
Working with Aeropuertos y Servicios Auxiliares de Mexico, the KED Team conducted a technical and financial assessment of five airports in the Central Region and provided recommendations for a focused marketing effort. (Read Full Project Details)

PROAR Airport System Development Program for Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil
Technical and financial analysis for a study that would establish a roadmap for development of the regional airport system and increase trade among the Mercosur region and within Brazil, promoting tourism, increasing access to the state’s rural areas and creating multimodal transportation systems.

Project Highlight: Morocco Renewable Energy Mission
KED Group was recently selected to conduct a renewable energy sector mission in Morocco. This project entails the review of viable projects for wind, solar and biomass power.

Quito Airport Security Systems Equipment Funding 
Assistance to the Quito Airport Corporation (CORPAQ) for the development, selection, financing and procurement of IT and security equipment as part of a modernization program for the airport. The study recommended the most adequate equipment, an implementation plan, and financing through internal & external sources, including aeronautical fees. 

Air Jamaica Privatization Program Phase II 
The KED Team provided assistance to the International Finance Corporation and the USTDA during two phases of privatization of Air Jamaica and its divestiture to the winning bidder. (Read Full Project Details)

U.S.-India Aviation Cooperation Program - Project Evaluation
For the last three years, The KED team has been working with USTDA and members of the U.S.-India Aviation Cooperation Program (ACP) in order to prioritize and fund initiatives that would respond to the program's overall objectives of fostering sector cooperation between the U.S. and India. Our team has worked in several programs including:

                 - NextGen Technologies Requirements
                 - U.S. manufactufacturing standards program for aircraft parts
                 - Pilot training program

Project Highlight: Chile NextGen Aviation Technologies
The KED Team provided assistance in a program for the implementation of NextGen Technologies (ADS-B and LAAS) in Chile. The program was developed in coordination with the Chilean civil aviation, Honeywell and other project stakeholders.

Ghana Trade Infrastructure Development 
Sponsored by the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) and the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), this mission was aimed at identifying initiatives for funding of projects that would reduce poverty and enhance economic development in the agricultural and energy sectors in the country. Recommendations were made for the implementation of a leasing sector market study which obtained support from the International Finance Corporation (IFC).

Royal Air Maroc Hub Modernization Plan
Evaluation of three projects for which Royal Air Maroc, Morocco's flag carrier, had requested funding. An evaluation of the technical and financial feasibility of these projects, along with an inspection of existing infrastructure, was conducted by KED. (Read Full Project Details)



Panama Perishable Cargo Facility
Assistance in the evaluation of the viability of financing the design of a new cargo facility for perishable products in Panama. 

Malawi Civil Aviation Authority Institutional Reorganization

This project entailed assisting the civil aviation authority of Malawi in developing a regulatory framework to reorganize the entity as an independent agency. This initiative will bring the agency to international standards and promote the participation of private entities in the country’s aviation sector. 

Panama Transportation Sector Assessment

Co-sponsored by the Department of Transportation, the John A. Volpe National Transportation Systems Center and the Office of the Secretary of Transportation, and the U.S. Trade and Development Agency, this mission was aimed at strengthening the overall capacity of Panama's transportation system and prioritize improvements linked to the Panama Canal expansion. A technical, financial and economic analysis of several projects requested by the Panamanian government was conducted.

Central America Trade Mission

Trade mission in support of the recently ratified Central America and Dominican Republic Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA-DR) and Commerce Secretary Gutierrez’ business development mission to Central America. The project is aimed at promoting the goals established by the CAFTA-DR, building strong public-private partnerships within the Central America region, and promoting increase trade and development.
